the quiver trembles and shudders

Time Based Installation
Berlin Universität der Künste, 2024

the quiver trembles and shudders is a sound-sculptural installation that unfolds over time as gelatin slowly deteriorates. Low-frequency moans are transmitted through a sonic transducer into a metal plate, causing the flesh-colored gelatin to tremble and quiver. The setup evokes an altar or offering site, positioning soft matter—gelatin, milk, stockings—as unstable bodies that both seduce and resist. Drawing connections between food, flesh, and ritual, the work questions how sound and material can produce a space of charged vulnerability where boundaries between consumption, observation, and desire begin to blur.
